Set for June 26, 2010, Fedor Emelianenko and Fabricio Werdum will face off at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA. The fight will be co-promoted between M-1 Global and Strikeforce, and will see Emelianenko bring a 27-fight winning streak into the match. Widely considered the best heavyweight in MMA history, "The Last Emperor" will face off against Werdum, who is coming off two straight Strikeforce victories. The winner of the match will likely become the top contender for the May 15 fight between Strikeforce champion Alistair Overeem and Brett Rogers. "Emelianenko vs. Werdum" tickets will be selling fast for this Strikeforce and M-1 Global cross-promotion set to air live on June 26.

“Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers” November 7th at Sears Centre

Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers event hits Chicago, IL on November 7, 2009.

On November 7, 2009, Strikeforce heads to the Sears Centre in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates, IL for the “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers” event. Just northwest of Chicago, Emlianenko Fedor and Brett Rogers clash in the heavyweight fight, along with Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Jake Shields, who are competing for the middleweight title. Fedor and Rogers will fight in the 11,000-seat capacity Sears Centre in Chicago’s northwestern suburb as the first major MMA event at the venue. Fedor has not lost a fight in over eight years and will look to keep that streak alive in this Strikeforce event, the biggest in the organization’s brief history.
