Bieber is a Canadian pop singer who began his career at the young age of twelve by entering and placing second at a local Stratford, Ontario singing contest. The self-taught musician then began recording covers of songs by Usher, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake and more and posting them on YouTube. After the videos were seen by a music agent, Bieber was signed and released his debut single, One Time in 2009 which featured vocals from Usher. He subsequently released One Less Lonely Girl, Love Me, and Favorite Girl on iTunes. He has performed for President Barack Obama, at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, on MTVU’s VMAs in 09, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and many more.
